i also tried running home/user/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/WarcraftIII/drive_c/Program Files/Warcraft III and double-click the Frozen Throne.exe and it opens the game but its very very slow.

Hi

I'm new to Ultimate Edition I hope this is the right board for my question. I use Ubuntu 10.4 on a 32bit laptop and I installed Ultimate Edition 2.7 on a 64bit desktop.

The Ultimate Edition booting logo looked great but after I activated the driver for the graphic card the Ultimate Edition logo changed to what is shown in the installation guide part one for the first boot. How can I fix this problem?

The Update Manager shows me the package information was last updated 98 day's ago when I do a check there are 64 files found but then I get this info:

Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/karm ... ackages.gz 404 Not Found
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I used the recommended settings in Software Sources and tried different servers but I still get the same information so this could be ignored, or old ones used instead but I'm not sure about the last update 98 day's ago.

and when I open Ubuntu Tweak > Applications it says This feature isn't currently available in your distribution.

I'm not sure if this is correct or my installation or the update failed.

Hi lazybug and welcome! For the first issue look here, and for the second one you better purge or disable the xbmc-karmic repo from the software sources, you really don't need it. ;) :)

Hello dave and welcome to the U.E Forum.

the errors with your PackageKit (KDE Package manager).
It look like your firewall is not up and running,
and you did not configure the Package manager yet.
This errors are from missing packages support on your package manager.

dave,

Gnome & KDE work side by side on the Desktop (you will see along the road),like you use the KSnapshot
And this is KDE package. ( software to take screen shot).
And you have install in Advanced the base of KDE on the Gnome Desktop.
So about PackageKit Do not Delete any package that you do not know what it is please.
Use the Synaptic for all the installation of packages & support that you want on your machine.
and if you must install software from out of the Repo use the Deb packages (you have the Debian package manager install in Advanced on your system).
So configure your synaptic =>load=>mark all upgrade and install the update/upgrades to your system.
The second part will be to update/upgrade your machine from the terminal.
The 3 part will be to install packages from Ubuntu Tweak.

dave ,

Under search in synaptic you will find the Kpackage.
Look in synaptic if you have broken packages and fix it from there.
