I installed the 'show' command and all appears to go well, no errors etc. When I try to use the command the system tells me there is no show command... I have tried with sudo first as well.
I am by no means a Linux whiz Kid, just an ordinary soul trying to live with computers my way and not the Microsoft way.
Ultimate Edition is fantastic - you guys have dine a great job. I have now completely converted to Linux (except for one slight hiccup today which I'll keep for the coffee room).
Now my question is: why can't I use the show command?
I apt-get installed it without apparent problems. I rebooted to see if that made a difference... nope!
I added sudo to the command line first, still no show command found.
I am trying to change the cursor away from the awful black one with the white border by trying to follow Theeman post of "show hidden.png" in the .icons folder.
The post tells me how to show the hidden files in Nautilus and to make the .icons folder but, I am lost with what is meant by the few lines following the 'show hidden.png' command.
When I look at the Compiz General Settings there is no cursor theme option. Is this perhaps the problem and if so how do I correct this?
Thanks for any help.
