Hello,
I'm newbie. I have Ultimate Edition 2.5 64bit already installed, but when I try to install 2.6 64bit the video driver does not work, nVidia 295. The screen goes black. It works fine with 2.5, I have notice that 2.6 does not like the Dell 19" monitor, I had to attach my Dell 24" monitor to install the 2.6 software. I try some steps listed on the forum, but no success. My computer is a Dell T3500 Zeon quad core processor 4GB ram. Any ideas? UBUNTU Ultimate Edition rocks. Everyone is doing a great job.

Thank you,

Yes, I tried the NVidia section. I would think it would run with current version that I'm using on 2.5 64bit. I will download the latest from the Nvidia website for Linux 64bit. I tried to go to recovery mode, but it will not go into single mode, it brings up the X server. I tried to cntrl-alt-F1 to go into a virtual terminal, but no success.

During Ultimate Edition 2.6 installation you could see the progress bar go till 183% and return to 78%. That wont cause you any issues.

What is the size of the partition on which you are trying to install Ultimate Edition?

Laptop(Compaq 6510b Business) :
    Processor : Intel core2duo 2.1GHz
    RAM : 2GB
    Graphics card : Inbuilt Intel graphics card
Desktop System:
    Processor : AMD Phenom X4 2.3GHz
    RAM : 2GB
    Graphics card : NVidia 9400GT

Welcome to the forum comsparks.
I don't know about ilc56 but I have good luck with HP brand DVD+R discs. Naturally you will have to use what your dvd burner will support (- OR +). DVD-R or DVD+R.
Philips DVD+R works good too but the HP seems to make fewer coasters.
