Ultimate Edition Forum

Well I don't know. It was fine Thursday and Friday and Saturday, but this Sunday morning I couldn't boot any of my 3 choices for Ultimate Edition. I did the recovery and that didn't help any. How's 2.6 coming along? should I just wait or can this be solved? Stuck on windows for now.

It looks like the Repo from the morning making Updates on the Ubuntu servers.
If you have problems ,well this is way.
So tomorrow I think that the update will be over, and things will work for you.

OH....hmmm so that the reason when I boot and it goes to the boot screen and then it's blank right after that? okay so I just try recovery later and it should have a update?

Oh well now that interesting. I can count to 30 it's been 30 boots since the time I re installed Ultimate Edition 2.5

I'm on ubuntu 10.04 RC so at least I can still get to my files (which I'm copying at the moment). Would I be able to check that during the "recovery" boot? How can I fix it?

Try booting to 2.5 and tap and hold the escape key ! that will cancel the disk check! (If that is the issue)

Tap and hold.... okay I try that again. I just tapped it a lot
It just cancels it? because when I over pressed esc it came to another "debian like" menu and I could escape it with out the power button. It told me to press Crl-d to cancel something (I don't remember everything if anything)

Anyway I just confused as to why it happened after I uninstalled "one" program.

DUDE ! you are one of a kind !! always testing the limits !!! Thats what I call work'n it !!
I dont know if you have a "bad" install or what . but just wait a few days till Ultimate Edition 2.6 (Yes days!) then make the BIG move and see what happens ! I know some major issues have been addressed ! but we will need your input on these matters !! just try booting to rescue and then try sudo apt-get update you might be hanging on an incomplete update !

DAYS... OH OH OH OH OH can't wait (literally).
