This software will allow you to make very good Backup for your packages List that have been installed on your machine.
you can get all the packages that you have all ready install on your machine and Back it up on flash key Drive,
CD...

How do we go about getting this app ? I don't have it in system tools, synaptic or add software ! and only one entry for it via Google But no download info !

Hi Johnny bro.

Well the app come with the Updates of the system.
all you need to do is to update the U.E feed then update synaptic.
it will come with the update/upgrade to the system tools for you and for all.
The trix is to have your system update every Restart+feed.
If this is what you do = you will get all the new packages set up for you.
Just use the cleaning process (script) from the Kernel post and go on from there.
there is no need to live the old kernel on the system,
Then all new packages for the new Kernel will spires on every update that you will make.
Make sure that you have install the new Ubuntu Tweak ubuntu-tweak_0.5.3-1~karmic2_all.deb.

Oh I see ! My issue is I am no longer running "karmic" as my default ! I gotta taste of "Lucid" and haven't turned back ! Ultimate Edition 2.6 Alpha is now default !!!, Soon to be second best only by the RC !! ( I still have 2.5 for referencing and my beloved 2.1 !) But all pail in comparison ! (IMO) I have my "Alpha" just chocked full of stuff to see what work's ! and behold !!!! IT ROCKS !!!, I will more than likely have to wait for this app to become available in "lucid" ! Just a couple of weeks to go !!!! can you feel it !!

To have good working system you need to follow some steps.
Firs of all - start your Firewall.
Then download and install the NEW package for Ubuntu Tweak here from my post on Ubuntu Tweak.

1- you need to Update your feed when you Enter your Desktop.
2- you need to Update/Upgrade synaptic right after the the feed Update.
3- After Update/Upgrade synaptic open terminal and Update/Upgrade your system with:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update

Then:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get upgrade

Then make sure that you have Ubuntu tweak update/upgrade.
Look in the 3 party to see if new source is up with software that you need Like:




Now to solve all the issues with keys on your system ,
AFTER YOU MADE RESTART TO YOUR MACHINE.

Just copy and past this command in your terminal and hit Enter.
This will get all the keys in one command.

Thanks, Admin. I already have run your kernel script and I think I have the latest Tweak, but as soon as I get a chance (I'm working right now) I will follow your directions step by step and see what happens. I will let you know. Thanks again.
