Sony LCD TV & LG W2241

Help and support for Ultimate Edition 2.5

Sony LCD TV & LG W2241

Postby corindb » Wed Feb 10, 2010 7:25 am

Problem: I installed Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 2.5 <BREW> from Win7 EU. At startup Grub's only visible on Sony TV, LG monitor no longer worked. I entered the NVIDIA X Server Settings application, where I managed finally to set Sony TV = Disabled, but can not save it in the X configuration. With: sudo nvidia-settings, I look in the console:

VALIDATION ERROR: Data incomplete in file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
Undefined Device "(null)" referenced by Screen "Default Screen".

Segmentation fault

Please help me solve the issue, it is unpleasant to switch on TV before using the PC.

Txk! C.D.
