Hey everyone!
long time no see i decided to take a major step and i redid a windows install only using half of the hd, and i put 2.5 on the other half.
so i got it on there and got my network setup. i dont have speaker but i am using a set of logitech usb headphones. when i went into the sound preference and selected them for the output it worked for a min but the sound quality was very staticky, then the system would slow down to a crawl. i had firefox open and when i tried to close it, it would take like 1 min possibly more to close. i finally got the power tab to pull down to restart the system and it stopped and said the sysytem was waiting for "indicator-applet-session" to respond. so i clicked restart anyway.

i have been doing some experiements, and noticed that the system really slows when i plug the usb headphones into the system. when i unplug them it goes back to running normally.
any ideas, i have been searching the regular ubuntu forums but i havent seen anything like this.

Are your headphones recognized correctly under the sound preferences?
