TaMan,
First thing - Welcome to Ultimate Edition! Glad to have you here!!! ;)

Just a couple of questions:
1 - did you run MD5SUM on the .ISO file you downloaded and compare the results to the MD5SUM "code" given in the Download link you used to DL the file? They must match exactly or your Download is corrupt. :(

Once you have verified that the download is good...

2 - You must burn the ISO to disk at the slowest speed your burner is capable of using - preferably 4X or slower. This helps insure you get a good "write" of the files to the DVD. ;) Faster burn speeds usually result in unuseable or "buggy" DVDs. :(

Both of these steps are important to insure you are starting with a "Known good" installation DVD or Live Disk.
BTW: It would be most helpful if you create a Signature file using the User Control Panel, and include your system specifications. This will help us to better help you when you ask for assistance. You can see such signature files appended to most user posts and all Admin/Moderator posts for an example of what is useful or needed.

After checking all the above, and it still errors out you can try this in recovery.
Code: Select all
fsck -y /dev/sda1

Assuming sda1 is the drive/partition Ultimate Edition is installed on.

Cheers.
