Ultimate Edition 2.5 unetbootin problem

Hi all,
i appreciate the effort Theemahn and friends put to develop Ultimate Edition 2.5 and its really rocking.but i just wanna point out something.
Upto Ultimate Edition 2.3 it was very easy to make live usb persistent using unetbootin.its not possible in 2.4 and 2.5....i have done other methods also like liveusbcreator,ubuntu9.10 installer of portablelinux and the usb startup creator of system tools of Ultimate Edition 2.5 live dvd..but the result is same
the Ultimate Edition boot screen will come then only a black screen with Revolving Ultimate Edition Globe mouse cursor ...nothing else happening...
At the same it is possible to make a live persistent usb of ubuntu 9.10 easily with unetbootin
I am wondering why its happened in the new versions which was possible easily in the earlier versions.?
Please consider this problem also when you develop a new version
if you have any suggestion to fix this please lemme know
thnx for your effort...

Hi copain,
As mentioned on Ultimate Edition Oz, it can be done and has been done. The issues you are experiencing are not the norm (as I would have them as well) so lets work through step by step and see where your bottleneck lies. There is an update post for you here: http://www.ultimateeditionoz.com/forum/ ... t=236#p447 and when we resolve this issue, we'll update both forums with the solution. ;)
Cheers.

Thnx very much mobieus..at last it worked.i have used the usb startup disk creator of live dvd..it loads as live dvd with different options.i selected the start or install option..i waited a long finally the desktop came..the main problem is it takes very long time for booting.
But persistance feature and other is present.
i wanna know how can i add this to grub
i am planning to clone this to another partition of usb and and configure the grub(which is the main bootloader for my usb hdd) to chainload it.will it be possible:-)What is the boot loader of Ultimate Edition?
Syslinux or grub?

That's great news copain - Well done! :D
Ultimate Edition uses Grub 2 as the 'boot loader'. Yes you should be able to chainload it unfortunately I am not up to speed yet on Grub 2. Hopefully someone else with a better current understanding of Grub 2 may be able to help you quickly otherwise, I will look into it and post back. I'll keep an eye on this topic to see how you progress.

Cheers.
