Computer freezes when I try to run effects

Hey everyone
I have a problem with Compiz, (I think ..)
I try to run some effects. I went to "change desktop background" ---> visual effect
---> NORMAL or EXSTRA. And the computer freezes! Then the only thing I have left to do is Reset.
I installed Compiz, maybe I have a lack of driver though normally I do not have this problem.
Thank you, good day

Hello, Normally after you first install Ultimate Edition after a few minutes you will see the Update Manager (providing you are logged onto the internet) appear and also a notification in the upper right corner indicating a restricted driver is available. I always install the restricted driver and then restart and then do all the updates the Update Manager provides. Then after that you can try to enable the 3 D effects of Compiz within the Appearance Preference and change the desktop, etc; to your hearts content. It would help if you would update your sig with your computer system details.

I've installed all possible updates through Synaptic, I saw a message about missing driver.
Where I see the details of my computer?

Yes! I do
He says "
The hardware drivers required varies, of course, from machine to machine. Ubuntu generally works out what driver choices you'll want to know about, to consider installing.

To take a look at what's available for your PC, in the menu: --

System> Administration> Hardware Drivers
"
But I went to
System> Administration> Hardware Drivers
And he says "no proprietary drivers are in use on this system"

Can you confirm you have 'xserver-xorg-video-intel' installed through Synaptic package manager please - If not, please install and let us know how it goes.

Cheers.
