Cannot change mouse pointer [SOLVED]

Cannot change the mouse pointer using Xcursor Selector (System--->Preferences--->Cursor Selection).
Any tips?
The Buttons "Install Theme" and "Go to Theme Folder" remains dead on the mouse click.

Hello carlomarx and welcome to the forum. You can try going to System-Appearance-Customize then click on the last tab which is Pointers and then chose the pointer that you want. Hope that this helps.

Just an addition to what apc15x suggested, if and when you select your desired pointer and it doesn't change right away. All you need to do is to restart your machine and that should do the trick!!
