well once i uninstalled the program I used ubuntu tweak and clean all that stuff out. I also made sure to delete the .Remastersys folder too. The file i just posted is from the new install I havent checked it yet so maybe it work I am burning it now to check. I would just run it in virtualbox but the last time that work and the disc I burned worked too in virtual box. Though i couldnt get it to run when I rebooted and loaded it from the disc

Follow the following steps "which applies to you"!!

Using Remastersys

In order to learn how you can use remastersys, run

sudo remastersys

remastersys Syntax

sudo remastersys backup|clean|dist [cdfs|iso] [filename.iso]

remastersys Examples

1) to make a livecd/dvd backup of your system

sudo remastersys backup

2) to make a livecd/dvd backup and call the iso custom.iso

sudo remastersys backup custom.iso

3) to clean up temporary files of remastersys

sudo remastersys clean

4) to make a distributable livecd/dvd of your system

sudo remastersys dist

5) to make a distributable livecd/dvd filesystem only

sudo remastersys dist cdfs

6) to make a distributable iso named custom.iso but only if the cdfs is already present

sudo remastersys dist iso custom.iso

cdfs and iso options should only be used if you wish to modify something on the cd before the iso is created. An example of this would be to modify the isolinux portion of the livecd/dvd

Creating An ISO Image

To create an iso image of your installation, simply run

sudo remastersys dist

This will create an iso image called customdist.iso in the /home/remastersys directory. The dist option makes that your personal folder (e.g. /home/ruchi) will not be included in the iso image. You might have to insert your Ubuntu installation CD during the process.

This is how the end of the process looks:

/home/remastersys/customdist.iso is ready to be burned or tested in a virtual machine.

Check the size and if it is larger than 700MB you will need to burn it to a dvd

796M /home/remastersys/customdist.iso

Clean Up

After you’ve burnt the iso image onto a CD/DVD, you can run

sudo remastersys clean

to remove all temporary file created during the iso generation as well as the /home/remastersys directory.

A good practice to do after remastering your system is to do a md5 sum on the created iso and compare it to the one that remastersys generated in the working directory where the iso is stored.

Then after doing that, use a program like kb3 to burn the image and using the verification feature to make sure/verify if the iso was burned properly, you should be all good an on your way ;)

Well this time I used the command line to make the backup instead of the graphical front end. This was better the disc allow me to login in but seem stuck on the splash screen right before the desktop load. I wanted to make sure I wasnt frozen so I ctrl+alt+f# on one screen it showed "Starting TiMIdity++ALSA midi emulation" it didnt have the [ok] next to it but the blinker was their so maybe it did or didnt load. I went to another window and I could tell I was login cause I could run commands like "ls" from my user $ line so I tried to startx but that didnt work and I really didnt expect it too,but I think now the problem may be X sense I did get login but gnome didnt load up properly.

Was it some form of virtual environment you tested it in? if yes i will request that you burn the iso and test it on your hardware because I've had problems in the past where the iso didn't work all that good in the virtual world but did on my physical hardware!!

If it was your physical hardware you tested in on then i don't know, remastersys is not for you!! Sorry :(

Or as lost resort if you haven't, you could go over the the remastersys forum and register and post your problem there to see if the guys can help!!
