Slight issue trying to install from USB. [SOLVED]

Postby masternetra » Tue Dec 15, 2009 1:45 pm

Trying to install from USB,, I used Ubuntu's USB Startup Disk Creator to set Ultimate Edition 2.5 on my USB drive, it loads up well enough but when I try to install it doesn't seem to want to load the device options when picking the device/partition for installation just shows up as a blank list with trying to load i think but I wait and wait and nothing happens. Got a Latitude D530 with 1GB of ram if that helps any.

Hi, Have you created a partition to install Ultimate Edition onto or are you installing on the whole drive?
Have you tried to use Unetbootin it is a far better USB boot instaler tool?

Yea installing from Unetbootin did the trick. The partition step loaded correctly after using unetbootin to insert Ultimate Edition onto USB.
