Update ahter Install reverts Splash Screen to Ultimate Edition 2.4

I just installed Ultimate Edition 2.5 fresh, to replace my previous Ultimate Edition 2.4 setup. Update Manager informed that there were updates awaiting. After updating, a restart was requested. Upon restarting I'm presented with a Ultimate Edition 2.4 splash-screen.
What's up with that?
Any ideas on how to change the splash-screen back?

The Update induced the 2.4 theme and when installed it sets the "usolash' to the new one, open system>administration>start-up manager Apperance tab and set your 'usplash' to Ultimate Edition 2.5, or any other one you like !

Sorry guys i am having same problem. ,initial boot screen shows 2.5 loading, but final display is 2.4 theme , tried changing settings as above but no dice, worked fine until i set up compiz , will uninstall compiz and try that?

Hello solo. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Please download and install th Ultimate Edition 2.5 theme pack from the link provided below an see if that helps.

Thanks Dark Child, but made no difference, still boots with all the glory of 2.5 until the final desktop screen which displays 2.4 edition, cant see it being compiz as i initially thought,its more of a boot problem which i will resolve

Hi, Right click your desktop screen and click change desktop back ground.

None of the obvious fixes resolved the problem, so tried fresh install previously on booting i got a black screen with a line saying command deprecated before fully booting up thats now gone and everything works fine, must have been a glitch in initial install?

Hello, I had the same problem, but mine was caused when, for some strange reason, only the 2.4 theme downloaded leaving the 2.5 theme on the server. I had gotten a message that not all updates downloaded, and had to hit continue to install without the missing updates. I noticed that the 2.5 theme didn't download and restarted with the 2.4 theme showing up. Then when I went to the update manager I was able to get it to download and install the 2.5 theme and everything was fine again. I rarely get that type of problem but had it happen three times this week, it happened again last night on another computer.....
