Help and support for Ultimate Edition 2.5

Annoying Snap Sound [Resolved]

Postby buschbarber » Thu Dec 10, 2009 12:27 pm

I recently did a clean install of Ultimate Edition 2.5. My sound is working fine, except for the annoying Snap that comes just before any Alert sounds. It happens whenever my CheckGmail announces that I have new messages, but it also happens randomly when I open Firefox. I played with the Sound Volumes, but it just makes everything quieter and the Snap is still there.

Thank you!! That has cured the Snapping problem. It would occur just before a sound was played such as the Alert when Firefox was opened or when CheckGmail announced that I had new mail.

I have installed various versions of Ubuntu, including 9.10, Ultimate Edition 2.3 and 2.4, but it wasn't until I installed Ultimate Edition 2.5 that the problem first occurred.
