You might have to update grub2 before it can boot.If you took swamp out,and did not update grub its probably confused as heck.If you boot does it kick you to tty,or a cli prompt?Does it give a grub error?
If it does then
- Code: Select all
sudo update-grub
,or
- Code: Select all
sudo grub-mkconfig
,and then see if grub2 corrects it's self. Then you should be able to boot.
As for permission to get the files-what ever your using run it under sudo.you might get in that way.Pop the live disk in let it boot up then use a root script on the desk top,or on your partition where the files are.
