I just wanted to mention:

After installing UE2.4 I too was unable to use my wireless. I'd already installed the Broadcom driver that my laptop needed and the laptop could "see" the router. I was even asked to enter the WPA2 passphrase.

I walked in, powered off my wireless router and internet access device, and then repowered them. I walked back in to where my laptop was and connected via my wireless.

This was most likely because I had at the time been screwing around with my router's settings via my desktop, but anyone having problems should try power cycling their router and modem. It's quick and free, and sometimes it really is the simple things.

Hi loqusiste

Try this:
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=4082#p44647

Similar situation that may work for you. Also I had to wait about 10-15min before I could access the folders (possibly due to the sheer volume of files maybe?)

Cheers.

results? sorta.
To recap: I have installed 2.4 on a Latitude C510 with a truemobile 1150 mini-pci wireless card. Where I usually use wireless access 2.3 worked. XP worked. Klikit (a HH variant) worked. 2.4 no go. As per Admin-Amir's suggestion I installed gnome-network-admin and it now sees the network but won't sign in. I rebooted into Klikit and got a poor connection, I do get spotty coverage there sometimes. So my results are inconclusive.

Hello billhedrick.

Can you please upload some screen shots on the options from your network left click.
Connect to Hidden Wireless Network.
And one more thing, did you have log in to your modem/router and configure your Wireless Network?

this is a semi-public wireless network. I could bug the Admin to let me do it, but that would really be pushing my luck. And I think I don't know where you want a screen shot. Nothing labeled "Network" gives me an options option when I left click
