Games Full Screen Problem

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.3

Re: Games Full Screen Problem

Postby PalqkA » Thu Oct 08, 2009 7:04 am

I have tried some different resolutions but nothing works for me :(

BTW it says : " Unable to create new X config backup file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup'. " but it saves it. when i open the x configuration window again its on the last set resolution.

P.S. can you explain me this:

Code: Select all
Option         "metamodes" "TV: 800x600 +1280+0, DFP: 1280x1024_60 +0+0; DFP: 1280x1024 +0+0,NULL; DFP: 640x480 +0+0,NULL"

this is something i saw by accident in other forum where i post my problem (this isn`t my theme but looks like the guy have the same problem as me...

I don't think so. :|
Try this please,
In your menus, Applications->Accessories->Terminal
Type the following and hit enter:
sudo /usr/bin/nvidia-settings
Now change your resolution and Save.

Any difference?

Sounds like theres a permission problem try...

Code: Select all
sudo nvidia-settings

then put in your password and you'll be running it as "root". There shouldn't be any problem saving to the configuration file after that.

Or try

Code: Select all
gksu nvidia-settings

or

Code: Select all
gksudo /usr/bin/nvidia-settings

instead of sudo.
