Hi everyone,
i'm using UE3.2 and its my first time using linux.
Please can you help me to create an internet connection.
I want to browse the web using Ultimate Edition but i can't as it doesn't recognise my DSL router and i want to try using a dial up connection.
Please help,

Welcome Khushalduth,
At first:
Thanks you have installed Linux
Are you sure, you have got a router and not only a DSL modem? Because if you have got a router you have a conection with the internet at every time. If you have only a DSL modem (PPPoE), then follow my instructions:
Click right on the two monitors and click "Edit connections". Now click on "DSL" and then on "new". Now you must enter your Username and password for dialup. Then click on "connect automaticly" and "for all users" and "Accept".
A few seconds later, you must have an internetconnection

will the modem then work because its a usb 1 and i have it's driver too.
I've already done what you asked me to but its still the same.
It's saying that i'm working offline. Do i have to reboot or something??

can you give us some more info on you mode/router -name Number act.
Here is the place for the AutoDHCP:
I can tell you that USB for modem/router is not from the best thing to have!
we have answer on that issue in the past,and the best thing is to change the modem/router
to wire.
but please add info on the modem/router and we will see what can be done for you.

hmmm, but if i change the modem with 1 using ethernet,
does it have a chance to work??
Because the modem i have can also be connected via ethernet and as my PC is an old one,
i don't have an ethernet port and i intend to buy 1.
Meanwhile i'm going to use windows for my important work and will pass the rest of time on LINUX.
can i have your email address or something to contact you when i change my modem.
Because i can't change it by now as i have the exams and i want to use Ultimate Edition later,
so i think that i can't do this alone.
