Can't install Ultimate Edition 2.3 or 2.2 either x86 or x64-[SOLVED]

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.3

I tried the 1 ram option and also put some extra cooling on the harddrives.
And it worked. :o Thanks guys, for the help.
Now the next part.
I ran synaptic package manager, installed the "envy" from inthere, after that I updated the rest of the packages with update manager. Rebooted and everything still is ok.
Now I have to figure out how to go from 8.10 to 9.04 the safest way.
Easiest is to click update to 9.04 in the update manager, but I don know if that will ruin Ultimate Edition.

But one thing is sure. I'm also gonna make a Ultimate Edition installation USB. :ugeek:

which version of Ultimate Edition did you install 2.2 or 2.3
because they are both jaunty based 9.04

2.3 just has more updates
and Kde and Xcfe desktop enviroments
and themes
also envyng should be installed by default

Congrats!.
A few things that may help:
1. Do not upgrade to 9.04 via upgrades. Mine worked but others haven´t. Clean installs are the best.
2. Which version have you installed? If not the latest (2.3) then try install again without the extra Ram.
3. Latest version (2.3) has EnvyNG installed already. Do not use Envy on 8.04 or later. Use EnvyNG instead.
4. Once installed, put your Ram back in and run memory check from the Grub boot menu overnight. If it was Ram stopping your install, it may still check out O.K. and end up being a Syncing issue only. Best to be sure to avoid further issues. ;)
