kdeinit4: Communication error with launcher. Exiting!

System communication bus is checked in service settings.

Or Try launching KWrite like so:

dbus-launch kwrite



This is because it cannot contact the DBus inter-process communication user session server in order to communicate with KLauncher, which is required for KIO to work.


I found after reloading, root will load kate with the dbus error, while the logged in user will load it just fine from command line.
Kate has to go anyway, the bookmarks don't work.
