You need the key with the repo. The key is linked on the repo site(google for how to add repo key).Check your xorg.config file again after your update.

This time just update after install.Reboot, and then log back in.Then study on editing the xorg.config file...before you attempt again.I do believe Amir had the right xorg. edits in his post's.

Personally...if your doing this just to see compiz work...I wouldn't bother.I installed a older pci nvidia card, and compiz performance was not great at all...really slow.Your using an older agp card.If your doing it for other reasons then list them. There might be other ways to enhance performance.

But if you like a challenge...then by all means lets try it.Ill be around more often this week, and will be able to put more input in.

I just want my old pc to work to its maximum capacity!Since i bought it, i learned a lot of little thing..it became a friend..i could spend loads of time not playing games but playing with it, like i would with a normal human being!i grew older but it grew old...i know il have to change soon but before that, it should be proud of what it is, at least what it was....

i manage to get all the effects...i got them only by installing compiz from ultamatix.. as you've already mentioned, tis really slow.but i'll find the optimum combinations of effects....

however friend, in December I'll decide on whether upgrading or buying a new pc...then i'll need your advice...because i want to run all the latest Ultimate Edition for the cominf 2 or 3 years(to be rational) :D

still i'll do watever you told me to, up to reading loads of stuffs, after my exams in december..i'll came post back then...i thank you a lot...and with all your blessing, i'll pass this hcs exams with perfection and come...till then, i wish you all good luck with your holly tasks!
