When it comes on to bad sectors in varies. Some bad sector/clusters can be repaired with some hd utility, but it doesn't work out in the long run/all cases.

Don't feel sorry, you didn't cause any trouble or inconvenience to me. I am here to help you. Its just that many a times users just make a post for every problem/error they see/get without doing any research for them selfs!!

2. Also tell me which program in Ultimate Edition I can use to view cable TV ? In Windoze, it is Honestech TVR. It uses a direct cable [No STB of DVB] connected to my PC.

you have some software to work with cable TV like-TVMe,XawTV.... no problem with Ultimate Edition

Hope I have cover your Questions.

Sir,
I have tried TVme available with Ultimate Edition 2.5. But it says the channel is not of its standard. Probably it is an internet TV viewer. Let me clariy my requirement :-

Is there any application for watching cable TV in Ubuntu. When I say cable TV it means direct cable connected to the PC/TV. No internet TV ot DTH or DVB. I used honestech TVR for this in Windoze. Nero also had the same capability. The TV tuner card has FM radio also. Is there an Ubuntu/Linux alternative for this? I have tried MythTV, TVTime, MeTV, vlc etc. Also tried installing the Honestech TVR under wine. But that also did not turn out successful.

Please help. Thank you in advance.
How to setup Windoze equivalent keyboard shortcuts with ccsm.
P DC 3.00 MHz
2.5 GB DDR2
250 GB SATA
17" CRT
and of course :) U E 2.5 32bit and W7u.
