Looks like you have logged into your xfce desktop , Log out or reboot and at your log in window click sessions and make gnome your default session .

Polite lol what's so rude about being shocked. When I'm shocked I say things like what the heck and what the farfin nugen
anyway that's cool I had no clue that I could change to and from gnome kde and...others SWEET I'll be messing with that later. As Peter would say "THAT'S ..... AWESOME" :lol:

Glad to see you have resolved your desktop issues ! and yes there are many aspects of Ultimate Edition that come up; and are a surprise to all ! Thats why its called Ultimate! So please be aware that it is very easy to over look very basic and simple repairs , I ask that you don't jump the gun ! ;) on any issue; yes it can be frustrating ,I agree . As I to have had my share of wow"s with not with just Ultimate Edition but ALL linux distro"s , That is what makes us who we are , we encounter a problem and over come it with out paying 25.00 a phone call for support ! as we have a labyrinth of knowledgeable people ready willing and able to help ! :D and still by far Ultimate Edition Is and will continue to be THE cutting edge operating system; BAR NONE ! And I have It on good authority that 2.4 promises to be the best most ULTIMATE EDITION yet!!! A real Windows KILLER!!! :o so strap in the best is yet to come!! IGHT well I wanna switch back and forth as I please. It would be nice to take the setting from Gnome and copy them to xfce and kde. Some way of doing that? AND might as well ask here too, How do I get advance setting for kde and xfce. :lol:
