O.k here is my suggestion for you.
go to synaptic=>search compiz=>un install all packages.
then restart your machine.
then use the post that I have post for you,That post solve to every one the problems with compiz.
so do not go around here just do it right.

Hi , I you still don't have your animation add ons try this :

This is a how to I wrote for installing other plugins in compiz, goto the download page as instructed in the how to and find animation add ons and follow the instructions per the how to : It is pretty easy to follow,Let me know If this helps, as if it does I will update my post to help others with this problem! ;)

It would work in theory but I would need the "program" or "application" deb so I could reinstall it.

Recently Reset Linux (had to reboot it) Of course add ons is back. If it disappears ever I'll make a not of what I did last.

Before I don't worry about this for a bit. How do I add advance effects in kde and xfce? :?

in KDE it uses its own window manager which in my opinion not as good as compiz you have to go into the system setting then animations i think been a long time since i used it :D
