No EMail Notification of Replies to my Posts-[SOLVED]

Lately, I do not receive any Email Notification that Replies have been posted to my Threads, even though "Notify me when a Reply is posted" is checked.

I checked my Profile and my Email address is correct.

I missed the line in Posting Defaults "Notify me upon Replies by Default". I changed it to Yes. I understand that this checkbox sets the Default, however, every time I create a Thread, I always check the box that says "Notify me when a Reply is posted". Shouldn't that have also initiated an email when a Reply was posted, even though it was not checked in Posting Defaults?

as Default it can not install from security issue like Spam and so on.
my way to work with this issue is to install mail notification,
So you will get immediate mail to your email with answers to your post's.

I am not sure I understand what you are saying. I use GMail as my Email Client. I check my SPAM Folder every day. I have not seen any emails from this forum, or any forum, in my SPAM folder. CheckGmail came with this Distro and I have it configured to Check my Gmail account and Notify me when I receive any new messages. It has been working fine, although, I wish I configure it to play a sound when New Mail arrives. I have used GMail Notifier screenlet, with other versions of Ubuntu, but for some reason, with UE2.2 and UE2.3, the Counter is blank and does not indicate how many Unread messages I have in my InBox, so I do not use that. I posted a thread on that subject, a week or two ago, but I never got a response.

I subscribe to many different forums, including MythTV and Ubuntu forums and this is the only forum where I do not receive an Email when a Reply is posted to one of my Threads.

I have RoadRunner, from Time Warner, as my ISP. They only give me a 100Mb InBox, so when I am out of town, for an extended period, it may fill up and emails would Bounce back. I created a Gmail account and I Forward all my RR email to Gmail. I have an InBox there of over 7Gb. While my RR email address is still valid, I use my Gmail address 99% of the time. There are a few forums where I originally signed up using my RR email address. When I signed up with this forum, I must have used my RR email address. I was not sure how to change it and since it is still a valid address, I left it alone.

Could that be causing the problem?

Amir - I just spoke with a friend of mine who also uses Time Warner Road Runner for his ISP. He also told me that despite the fact that he has selected "Notify me when a Reply is posted", he does not receive any automatic emails when someone replies to his posts.

Are email addresses ending with Rochester.RR.com being blocked for some reason?

Its not to say that the Rochester.RR.com domain is been blocked, it could very well be a problem/glitch with "phpBB" not supporting/reading that domain properly so hence it does send replies when necessary!! Tell your friend to try a update is profile using a different email address with a "yahoo.com,gmail or hotmail.com" domain to see what the outcome may look like.
