Ok, I'm happy with 2.2. Why should I upgrade and risk messing with something that's working so good? I'm sorry if this sounds silly but even though I love having the latest and greatest, I also love having a system that just, you know, works..... Assume for a moment that I don't even know how to upgrade. Been a Windows man for soooooo Looooong and I just receintly made the switch to Ubuntu. Is there a way to install 2.3 like a service pack on Windows? I see that backing up is a necessity from reading other post, can I just restore after upgrading? Sorry if this is basic. Even if someone could just point me in the right direction to read information that is already available I would greatly appreciate it.
All I really want to do is make music, read email, Surf the net, watch movies on my big screen and someday set up a terminal server so I can use these two thin clients I already have. Oh yea, and learn as much as I can about Ubuntu and your awesome versions.
By the way I started with a Tandy back in 1977. Had a Commador 64 and even played with an Ozborn until I got my first Zeneth in 1986, so I have some limited experiance with computers but Ubuntu is so different for me. Maybe I'm just getting old.
