When having an problem with repos its best to go directly to the source.
http://wddb.wine-doors.org/node/53#commentsThere should be no reason to update any repos at all....unless your looking for some particular software. For software that is already installed with Ultimate Edition you can use Ubuntu Tweak to pull in new versions, but in doing this theres no guaranty of the new software being stable.Ultimate Edition 2.2 uses the Ubuntu Jaunty repos. When Ultimatix(search here in the forums for ultimatix) is done being tested it will pull apps in from Threemahn's personal repo. From time to time individual repos will go down for maintenance, and other reasons, but are put back up fairly quick.
It's a Flight Sim for radio controlled planes, (Realflight G3.5) If you could point me in the direction of these repositories and hopefully how to load them, I will be one step closer.
Wine is already installed out of the box.I'm not sure of which version, but you can get the newest from using Ubuntu Tweak...also installed on your system.Normally with wine you install the app's .exe file,or set up file.If all goes well with the install then you will be able to launch it from the applications menu...under wine>programs.Keep in mind not all Microsoft software will run in wine.I suggest having a look at wine's site to get a feel of what it is,and how it works.
http://www.winehq.org/Here is where you would configure Ubuntu Tweak to pull in newer versions of software.
