Could somebody please tell me how to get the microphone to work on 2.1. I dual boot with XP and it works ok on it. I just do not want to have to boot into M$ just to make a call. I can make calls and can hear perfectly. Nobody can hear me. :x
Thanks

Tango,
Have you checked the Volume control "applet"? You can get to it by Right clicking the Volume Control, usually on your upper menu bar on the right side, looks like a Speaker. You may need to "un-mute" the Microphone input or just turn up the "gain" or "volume" of the microphone.
If there is no Microphone control in your mixer panel, then click on the "Preferences" button and place a check mark in the box next to "Microphone" and click on Close. You should now have a Microphone control in your "Mixer/Volume control" applet. Adjust as needed and enjoy. ;)

Let me know if this helps or not.

Thanx. Sorted out the mic on my PC. My laptop does not have a microphone button in volume control or preferences. Only front mic boost.
