I've had problems acessing locked folders before; on the HD, though...it seems something created on another system and copied by a cd is a real good way to get a looked folder, I've found. Mind you, be VERY careful with the following command...it will not "save you from yourself" once you are using it...

gksudo nautilus

then enter your password.

Try navigating to your USB stick in the file browser that pops up...if you can, you should have ALL the acess you want...

Sorry to know that your crossing over to the other side my friend. Feel free to come back and enjoy Linux as all of us here on the Ultimate Edition board do. Mazal when your sad inside and feel locked away from the world, "windoz" just look outside your Windows and stop the Linux bus outside, don't worry about bus fair because Linux is FREE my friend!!
