Can't install Ultimate Edition 2.1 ?

When your CD menu comes up just click on the "install" option. This will just start the installation procedure and you will be able to tell it where to install and you have the option to quit.

I like to check the drive with gparted before I do this and you will not have that option although you will get a partition editor in the installation. Just take your time and make sure that you are putting it where you want it.

The most important thing that you must do is HAVE FUN.

Make sure you have the correct md5 checksum as per the download page.

Did you burn at more than 4x? The slower the better.

Also, if you have a 40 strand IDE ribbon cable, you will have problems. It needs to be 80 strand or a SATA connection.

1. Check the md5 checksum
2. Burn the .iso at max 4 x.
3. Check your IDE ribbon cable ( if it's SATA, forget this step)

Hopefully one of the above will sort your problem out.

Cheers

Howdy & Welcome to Ultimate Edition Super....as to what Nick has pointed out to your "VMWare" error, that leads us to a few questions:

1. Exactly where did you get a "VMWare Ace" copy of Ultimate Edition 2.1??
&
2. Exactly how are you trying to install it?? (inside Windows or what??)
