Mysql too full

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.1

Mysql too full

Postby Uffe » Mon May 18, 2009 11:32 am

Hi
I tried to make a back-up with "Simple Backup Config". When it was finished, I tried to open "Simple Backup Restore" and got some error concerning root.
I thought - well I must have done something wrong, and vent to /var/backup where the file should be, opened the folder as root and dropped the file in trash. The file disappeared - i wasn't in the trashcan - and now, every time I boot up (without splash) is there a line that post a red star saying something like: var/lib mysql is too full.
And if I try to download anything I got an error message saying that I don't have more space on the HD despite I know I have over 70 Gb free in /home.
Have I any options beside reinstall :?: :(

But a nice try, thank you :)

Look for a temp file that was made when you backed up....possible in a temp folder.

UPS  forgot that I had tried intalling Mythtv through "add/remove" , and uninstalled it the same way again just before trying the back-up program. Surfing around all my folders I found out that the Myth-backend still was there. Got it removed with Synaptic and the problem seems to be solved. :D
Now just wonder - why Myth made that error :?: but it's not important - don't think I'll ever want it again anyway 8-)
