I've searched around trying to find a semi easy way to recover deleted files to no avail.
i'm trying to recover 2 deb files that I dumped from the waste bin, can anyone point me in the right direction?

as far as i know, once deleted from the bin its in cyberheaven and not to be seen again.

No there are ways, ex. magic rescue and dd?, but there a little advanced for my linux knowledge.

I just recovered a 100 gig drive I formated on accident.I used xp to do it tho.

That might do the trick, takes about 2 hrs to scan the drive. by far the easiest program i've come across yet.

I installed it from synaptic.

I'm wondering, if you had something on you D drive and deleted it and it went to recycle bin(which is on C drive) which you empty, which drive do you look for it on?

That's a good question. given that I've deleted files to big for the waste bin.

My guess would be that the files that can be in recycle bin will be on C, files u deleted and are to big for recycle bin would still be on D.
