Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install lib32z1 lib32ncurses5 lib32bz2-1.0

then this
http://quickstart.phpbb.net/download.ph ... c35610218c
install it.then open it and look for install codecs and such.That should get you 32 stuff.(or you can use synaptics)The way you can install flash and such is to simply navigate to a web site that requires it.A pop up should...well pop up,and say you need flash to see everything on this web page.Install it.If I remember right thats one way I did it...

For flash, as Cell says, navigate to webpage that requires it...the Ultimate Edition homepage will do the trick for ya...when the 'plugins' window pops up, make sure "Flash" is selected...it should work from there..

If you're under the impression that "Flash" requires "Java", it DOESN"T :)

I am going to reinstall due to the simplicity and quickness, I have 133 gigs dedicated for 2.1 how are you guys setting up partitions? I went like this;

/ 6000mb <--mountpoint
swap 6000mb
/home 100000mb

all on an extended partition using ext3 file sys...

At least 20gb for /
Maximum 2xram for Swap partition(only if you have less than 2gb ram)
And better ext4. ;) <BREW>

yes thats right no java needed for flash, I am thinking of frostwire...

yea I did go to the Ultimate Edition homepage and installed flash when I was prompted, too easy...

I'll use the above method for the rest, again thanks for the help, after I have everything set up I might try for the ATI 9.4 install, I'll prolly shout then... :o

Hello, Cell, I wasn't really trying to download anything, just confirming that what ever the issue is, it still shows up, and on my computers. It still does at this time, I just tried to use it . I would guess that Thee Mahn is doing something with it, and it will be better than ever when he is done with it. I really love what he is doing and look forward to any updates. So, I will shut up now and wait to see what happens...Oh I was thinking there was a way to donate money to the cause, but I can't find anything to do that. I am not made of money, in fact I am laid off of work, which is why I am here so often, but I would like to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak. Thanks!
