I got the drive reformatted and partitioned ..I'm trying to install the flash player into firefox ... but have not been able to change permission in the plug in folder ... any trick I'm missing? i know I know .. ( other than more brain cells )

I extracted the file to my desktop and checked the permissions .. were as you said to make ... problem I have is access to plugin's folder in firefox ... says I'm not the owner , so no can change

fighting a cold .. had to call it a night ... I have been trying to put the flash file in ... usr/lib64/firefox3.0.10/plugins

I'll give it a go in the mozilla folder

Thanks for your help guys .. I never did get flash to work on any of the three ... I reformatted one machine and broke the hd to 5 partitions .. figured I'd have a couple of parts to play ( learn ubuntu ) I'm reading about grub..want to see if I can have more than one installation of 2.1 without messing up grub . This cold I have has knocked me down a bit , so I'm just going to rest

Ill be honest with you Points.Id just install juanty....I was up and running with everything in less than 45 mins.It would have been quicker if I didn't go back and forth from working on my boat,and my pc.It is MHO that its a breeze to set up compared to the later...

Hey don't be givin up on me Cell .... Years ... like over 20 ago , I used to mess with multi boot and software specific setups for dos .... but I must admit I have since been brain numbed by the plug and play world of BG
and I was not sure if the ati cards were part of the problem ..I did put 904 on the one machine .. looks good , but I like the Ultimate Edition more .. I have three of these so one will be the guinea for me to play with .. wipe a drive reload and go from there :lol: ... I'll be loading 2.2 once Theemahn gives it the green light <BREW> kind of like a kid waiting for christmas
