The Windows partition is only going to be included in Fstab if you wanted it mounted when you boot up Ultimate....

ok, did FIXBOOT and FIXMBR, I now boot directly to XP...

guess I'll reinstall?

any tips?

when installing Ultimate Edition I hit the advanced button and point to windows (hd0,0) to install grub there, isn't that right?
there's many a slip twix a cup and a lip...

doesn't it already have (hd0) in the window as default?? if so, do NOT change it...just let it install by default...

I'm happy for you too,sometimes a reinstall fix the grub,we all did it many times,almost everytime,especially when you are multi-booting.
For example me,I always have to add the third OS's entry by hand after a new fresh install/reinstall.<BREW>

Same here, I want my main Ultimate to always boot the Grub menu...

thanks for all the help, before i go on to the graphics card I want to update and install Ultimatix, it keeps alerting me the is an Internet interruption and to try again later?
