new kid on the block feels like a block head,plezz help

ok to start out there was some keys that were not accepted when i did updates, got that solved but dont think i got it right cause now when i check for updates i get this:

Could not download all repository indexes



The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences is correct.

Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/googlegadgets/ ... ackages.gz 404 Not Found

Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

i suspect that i replaced my repository indexes but i dont want to find out the hard way
ps when responding please keep in mind i am a newbie.

Some of the Launchpad sites and gpg keys have been changed recently and what was installed with 2.1..you can deselect that repo and Google for "launchpad ppa googlegadgets" (or with googlegadgets put first) and get the correct ppa...they have instructions there on how to add the ppa and gpg key so you'll have the correct listing....OR...you can monitor you post and see if someone else comes along that also uses googlegadgets and they'll prolly give you the info...
