Ultimate Edition 2.1 for Games?

Postby StingerS » Tue Mar 31, 2009 4:41 am

I'm kinda confused, my friend told me that this windows Edition is the best
I know that Linux is better for working on a PC with programs, now if I'm a gamer.. does Ultimate Edition 2.1 better then Microsoft Windows Xp for games?
I mean does it prefect for games? like Ultimate Edition 2.0.. I see that this version have a gamers Edition
I'm talking about games like FEAR 2,Devil May Cry 4, Assassin's Creed.....
All this Games work Perfectly on Ultimate Edition 2.1?
Or should I take Ultimate Edition 2.0?

'does Ultimate Edition 2.1 better then Microsoft Windows Xp for games?'
You can run some Windows games with Wine emulator.
Here is a link for Windows games that work with Wine(and a few how tos as well).

Of course there are a lot of free games available for Linux as well. I'm not a big gamer but I do like a good round of Tali(dice) or any card game. A really cool arcade game is Frozen Bubble(Linux only).
Here is a small list of some of the free Linux games available(there are hundreds available).

Learn some new games and blow your friend's mind because he won't be able to play them on his Windows box. Not only that he will get viruses and spyware on his computer and you never will.
p.s. The desktop compiz-fusion is like a game(Linux only). Show your friend this screencast:
