Hi
I am trying to get my X45 joy stick to work with FlightGear.
It is recognised by FlightGear and appears in Help Joystick information. Using driver usr/share/games/FlightGear/Input/Joysticks/Saitek/X45.xml.
The keyboard and the mouse work,
I have tried editing the joystick file as per ths FlightGear manual to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

1- ask your question
2-list what you already tried to remedy the problem
3-be open to suggestions
we cant possibly know what you have already tried.......least I cant read minds.

First I would a apollogise for my rude reply it was uncalled for.
That was my post you referred me to.
Nobody seemed interested then (3 years ago) I would like to get FlightGear to work with Saitek X45.
I will expand on my post and show the steps I have taken with FlightGear

couple of questions:is a usb joystick?does it work partly,some features aren't working?

You are not being rude, just frustrated. We all know what you are going through. Hopefully someone with the same stuff as you will post here shortly. I searched for two weeks for a driver for an Alaris Wee Cam and the software to run it(I neglected to save the installer someone gave me and did a re-install without saving it(Duh). I finally found it here: http://www.driverguide.com/
I tried all the drivers they had and finally found one that worked. The camera was $#!%, but it was the only one I could afford at the time.

It looks to be a problem with FlightGear rather than Ubuntu/Ultimate Edition.
