What's best way to upgrade from Ultimate Edition 2.0 to 2.1

Postby rickzoll » Sun Mar 22, 2009 12:30 am

The only process I've ever done is to try the dvd boot and if it seems to work OK, I just install and format the /root and keep the /home file system. Is there a better way to keep most configurations?
Thanks, RickZoll

Thanks Billy - That was exactly what I was looking for. I think I'm going to keep doing what I normally do - use grub functionality for dual/multi-boot and format the / mount point in a free partition and re-use the /home partition. This way I get the clean install and keep my settings and data. If I have problems I still have my original partition that I can go back to if needed. Isn't Linux great :D
