Hi,
I am not getting able to pair, send or receive files through bluetooth(in both 2.0 & 2.1). In 'setup new device' it will show connecting and finally 'pairing failed' with every device I had.
What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks for any/all help...

Hi jai,
I don't have a solution, just an observation. My keyboard and mouse (Bluetooth Elite Desktop) work flawlessly with 2.1. Mouse did not need pairing, however, keyboard did. Since reading your post, I've just tried pairing my iPaq Pocket PC to see if there was any difference - I right clicked on my bluetooth icon on the task bar on PC and chose preferences and made my bluetooth always visible. Next, i initiated a connection from my mobile device - not the PC. Once started, I got a message on PC with a button to enter PIN number. Clicked on it, entered 4 digit pin (anything you wish) and clicked OK - My pocket PC then asked for the same Pin - I entered it, then noticed another message on PC with a button saying confirm pin. I've never seen this before, and would have just sat there waiting.... so I clicked it and it paired! Are you also seeing this message but not clicking on it? If so, its probably timing out and giving you a pairing error...

Just a thought.

Sorry - should have mentioned my experience is with Gnome, not KDE. Noticed in another one of your posts that you are using KDE?

The backend of Ultimate is the same for Gnome or KDE or any other desktop. Whatever you can do with Gnome you can do with KDE. It will just be in a different place and look different, that's it. I personally don't use KDE(I hate it) but i'm sure there is a way.
