I can't seem to run totem movie player with compiz running video is all choppy and locks up. worked fine with my ati 9600, but not with my 1650 ati card. any suggestion?

When I had my Ati card I was told it was a driver update issue from Ati, and since it is proprietary it is at their leisure when they put it out.

I switched to Nvidia 8600gt and it works perfect. :P

This is a link that gives you a nice little button that you can add to your panel and just switch off and on compiz, you might give this a try

increase the mem for agp to 512 or as high as you can go in your bios.

ive always had to kill compiz when playing video or games. i have yet to find a way around it.
