Black Beauty III up for download rated low???

Postby BBOSAK2143 » Thu Oct 24, 2013 8:44 am

For anyone interested Black Beauty III now named Adwaita Black Beauty III is up for download on Gnome Looks. Shockingly so, has been rated down to 42% which is ironically a lower rating than BeiTanBro at 47%. BeiTanBro is a beige type I did which took considerably less time than BB3. So I find it truly amazing and pathetic BB3 could be rated so low, when it offers a few changes to theme creation. Those changes are all about reducing file size and becoming more simplistic to make things even easier for new theme creators! This has been a continual battle for me, since I feel everyone should be easily able to create the exact look they want on their desktop! I know my taste is not going to be the same as someone else's and respect that always! I only feel that lack of creativity, should be rated low on Gnome Looks, but is not the case there as lack seems to reign supreme!!!! Anyway, did rush it a bit, but was concerned for Cinnamon 2.0 users and figured what better chance than to just launch it to help those users. Will continue making themes here and there and of course will never stop coloring the text! I have a firm belief that one day, people will put down those newspapers and want to look at their computer!!!!

Glad you enjoy it!!! Have a little work as I finally blew it on my OS! Tried to cure and underlying problem and toasted it! Is like have a stack of books piled 6 feet high and trying to pull one out without the rest falling down! Did not work, whole OS came down!!! Serves me right for rushing into in April wound up adding to a full Ubuntu-Gnome desktop iso and that was a huge mistake! Did not wait like TheeMahn did, cause as I say not even 1/10th as swift! Always had problems with the shell cause had too old of files sitting in there cause of the ubuntu-gnome combo. So if you ever think about creating a Linux OS, I severely advise against going for a fool Gnome-desktop in a version that already has half of it! Came real close to beating the problem. I got to the 3.10 desktop then the top panel exploded!!!!! Poor ole Black Beauty III was there when it happened! Assembling a new one as I write this, cause now the other OS does not even want to get a connection to the internet! Even though gdm is installed has the dependencies doesn't want to start and even kdm is giving hassles!!!! So is really no way for me to fix it, so is wasted time! Probably going to leave a few things behind as was just too large at 3.6 gigs that iso! Thinking of just Gnome, LXDE, XFCE and Cinnamon this time around! I like those other 3 the most and just hardly deal with KDE except for all their utilities. Did get stuck with loads of games so, not going to go with a full KDE no more. Just get the utilities and maybe next month will do a small desktop install of KDE. Am going to do my best to get Gnome 3.10 on this one as really want that map deal! Only thing I was ever big on from MS was Streets and Trips! Looks like maps could be like that, so am really wanting that!!!! Sure will still have Google Earth, love crusing down the roads on that!!!! Only game I ever seem to play these days, but not real long just here and there!!!! Sure love it that I am not the only one that is not liking the white lettering!!!! Take care will get back when this one gets done!!!!
