GNome 3.10 rants

Ok we all know that gnome is moving towards a touch model and blatantly copying ipad design's

In the latest version 3.10 there are some good points where they have merged the title and menu bar but they have again forgotten the min and max buttons it seems.
More over adwaita seems a mix of mac os x theme and google's flat ui.
The other negative in the merging of the default indicators..
feels like i should shift to os x.

I didn't completely hate the new Gnome Classic setup, I wonder how all this would work on a netbook?

Might as well find out.

Its smooth .. No problem.. Ram usage is also around 330mb if you remove oneconf service and evolution as I do.

The problem is gnome classic does not look and work like gnome2.

And I order to make it simple they are losing some features.

Xfce's next release has to support gtk3. That's the only best alternative left.

Gnome is a risk taker! Will bet as Gnome 3 paid off after months same will be said on the smaller devices. What I mean in this is simple. When I came into Linux I was using Gnome 2. Next, it advanced to Gnome 3 with it problems ensued. Some people flipped and claimed it was the end of Gnome. I also thought this. Then I took a real good look at it. I realized the efforts used to satisfy all varieties of its users. It is not easy to satisfy that many and is a reason many desktops hold to one venue and only consider the mass majority. Then things smoothed over and Gnome once again was working decent. Sure there are still bits of hassles, but to me the positives outweigh the negatives due to the many variations that can be used. Simply put, I get to see what I want to see! Still, I do appreciate other desktop environments. Since I also love to see others have exactly what they want to use, I hope other desktop environments will also eventually find their way to the smaller devices. Not sure if I will ever get one of these smaller devices as am more towards pc and laptop, but if that ever happens probably would have Gnome. Have to admit it, I am a Gnome addict! Love to see what is happening in advancement! I guess that is why I stay on Linux! Prefer advancement over stagnation!!!!
