Sometime back in 2010, Nvidia clearly stated they "wont" support wayland. Can be passed off today as irrelevant poppycock.

AMD's Roy Taylor now states CUDA and physX is doomed. I mean its like everyone is defending Nvidia, including me, but its the truth based on reality. How many software companies care for physX. Hair simulation, cloth simulation as a sole purpose?
CUDA is available and not an option for GPGPU compute. Granted Blender has pulled out support for OpenCL, but its to improve and sift out anomalies to make it a full force technology when it gets implemented. Whatever OpenCL apps exist excel only on radeons, not that its of relevance, bitcoining uses it. Even intel graphics are shockingly more powerful than a previous generation when it comes to OpenCL/GL.
CUDA is closed source. OpenCL is open source. That says it all. Furthermore ARM based embedded chips depend on OpenCL/GL compute.
