LXDE the Lightweight that works great as the heavyweights!

Will say, I was sure a fool not to use LXDE so much before now! Am noticing its performance is very very impressive and would personally rate it right next to KDE! I used to think Cinnamon was so cool and nice looking, but compared to LXDE will say is not so functional!!!! Am starting to learn a bit more about compiz and was messing with some settings while using LXDE. Now the effects are simply perfect and play out so brilliantly!!! When I do the same on Gnome is not so dazzling!!! Of course we know the reason being is Gnome is much more bulky. Cinnamon is also on the bulky side!!!! KDE is also, but is perfectly balanced and handles like a dream even though is so weighty!!!! But getting back to main topic is for such a Lightweight desktop LXDE just plain out and out shines! Taskbar can be added on to along with re-sizing and can also blend with wallpaper to give my, yes favorite appearance of Sheer!!!! File manager PCManfm has a beautiful appearance just as Nemo does and also coming in at less weight!!!! Now I gave it a try a while back when I was running Ultimate Edition 3.5 but never delved into so much cause my favorite desktop was Gnome. Now that Gnome 3.8 has been a little more tricky with things have now been giving equal time if not more to LXDE!!! To me seems like a great choice! Since I am still a stickler for having those two icons on the desktop, still have to figure a way to do that and want the weather in the taskbar also! Plan to do something for it as is a deserving desktop as is great looking and very durable! When all else was ailing, it still held up and I consider it far stronger than XFCE which is pretty much in the same category of being lightweight! Any users out there that have not tried LXDE, I will say give it a try and can guarantee you will not be sorry!!!! Is a beautiful thing in Linux that we are fortunate to have all these different desktops to enjoy and they cater to everyone's taste!
