Transition

Should I move anything over here...or link? I think what I do is mostly stuff only I am only interested in lol, but my 3.4 set is very stable. Maybe rewrite KDE upgrade instructions since I want no part of anything that says..."apt-get upgrade" with Ultimate Edition? Hmmmmm

Either way, I am glad the site is up and running! It is tempting to start copying everything!!

Is best bet! Did much copying before it went down and will do so again!!! Love it here, best info on the net with the most intelligent and decent people!!!! Apt-get upgrade, if I don't see that on a Linux OS in a couple days, I start panicking!!!!! Kind of dread it on my OS as right now program attached to it is misbehaving!!! I believe it will be fixed on this update that failed this morning for me! Failed due to loss of connections(Lovely Verizon!!!) Tried to upload as just is lacking update and some trivial things. Is ready to go and for everyone to enjoy!!!! Everyday I do least when I get time!!!! Is a good workhorse as my computer stays on all day and most of the night!!! Is giving me no major hassles. Only minor hassle is just have to update through synaptic! Am sure this update will fix it though. Just don't have the time or knowledge to fix it myself right now. How hard is it to update through synaptic? Am sure anyone can do that! Anyway is great site is up and can get back to enjoying it here, when time permits!!!!

Sounds good to me Xanayoshi. And apt-get upgrade is OK when Software Sources are set to stay within the specific release on Ultimate Edition Builds. Love Oz and Ultimate Edition Forums and must make time for both. I think everyone here should also be apart of Oz, and If not they are missing out on a great resource that's Technical, Informative, and Fun to say the least. That's my conclusion...

Yes Sir. Jokes and topics of the sort that allow participation, not only on a tecknical level but on a personal level, and are a great way to keep users aboard. Esp newbies. The efforts made definately reflect Oz to be one of a kind and keep the forum interesting. Great marketing management. Someone def knows what they are doing... ;)

Yeah..other forums sometimes present an issue with their overuse of..this is an Opensuse issue, not Ubuntu..blahhhhhhhh. Ultimate Edition/Oz presents itself as more of LINUX and COMPUTING..not how much we are in love with one particular OS. We don't grow only knowing about particulars.

Actually, I have no real clear idea of what Oz is about. That's Blackwolf's secret. There is a serious wealth of Art available, I'm always shocked how much image searches come back with OZ association when I am doing something for an OS that is completely unrelated.

I like OZ is nice too, but is just easier to post on this forum. Oz sometimes gets kind of funny when you go to post, wants all the particulars. Wish that could get toned down a bit as I fear some people might also have problems that way! I mean, I am kind of swift, but sometimes posting on their requires sheer brilliance an am afraid I have not reached that level yet! Yes, is cool to have a place where folks can joke a bit, do not see anything wrong with that! We work hard, have to play the same at times to cool off!!! Just if you will notice, over here is not really picky on the subject details, which makes more users apt to post problems or things they need to say. When you have to get detailed about the subject matter, is kind of a turn off to most! So, yes have noticed big time not as many posts at Oz, but still the content is great, will never dismiss that! If what I stated above is improved, both of these forums would be neck and neck!!!
