Love Oz and Ultimate Edition Forums and must make time for both. I think everyone here should also be apart of Oz, and If not they are missing out on a great resource that's Technical, Informative, and Fun to say the least. That's my conclusion...

I've done apt-get upgrade on Ultimate Edition a few times. My Ultimate Edition 3.5 64 setup that is stuck in click was definitely upgraded. If one has several hours to spare, Ultimate Edition 2.8 lite has no problems upgrading. It's just not really a good idea unless you have absolutely no problem starting over!

Everyone who is interested in Ultimate Edition should definitely go to both sites. Although...it is you and Pam, that would probably give the best advice on either :ugeek:

Oz can be a little intimidating though.

BBOSAK2143 wrote:I like OZ is nice too, but is just easier to post on this forum. Oz sometimes gets kind of funny when you go to post, wants all the particulars. Wish that could get toned down a bit as I fear some people might also have problems that way! I mean, I am kind of swift, but sometimes posting on their requires sheer brilliance an am afraid I have not reached that level yet! Yes, is cool to have a place where folks can joke a bit, do not see anything wrong with that! We work hard, have to play the same at times to cool off!!! Just if you will notice, over here is not really picky on the subject details, which makes more users apt to post problems or things they need to say. When you have to get detailed about the subject matter, is kind of a turn off to most! So, yes have noticed big time not as many posts at Oz, but still the content is great, will never dismiss that! If what I stated above is improved, both of these forums would be neck and neck!!!

The post setup at OZ is nothing....Try #!. Generally think about the post structure as how it would look in a search engine query return. That's why it seems so long winded, but it benefits everyone in the long run. Besides..Blackwolf will certainly tell you if you did it wrong!

Micro wrote:I try to keep my opinions about Microsoft, KDE and new Ubuntu to myself. But seriously thats a great point.

I wonder if sometimes that's a problem. While everyone should be able to form an opinion, there are negative aspects that do need to be addressed in order that they may be improved. This is why KDE has gotten better I think. There was no reason for them to adopt lightdm, but they did, and it is good. Ubuntu wants some of that Android action..it's understandable...but also not even close. The Windows phone commercials that cost hundreds of millions to tell you that their phone was rather uninteresting says everything you need to know about Microsoft...they have lost touch.

For those who dont know...Blackwolf is a php God.

Forgot to add that OZ has the most beautiful looks! I mean the artwork there is incredible and have to make that compliment cause I know stuff that is there takes long hours of work!!! As have mentioned before, I spent about 2 weeks for my college course of web design on the final exam project. I had maybe a quarter of the looks OZ has and it was rough!!! You know me, am a total fan of the colors and a little of the dark ones at that!!! This bright white gets a little rough on the eyes at points! I did get the drift on how to post there, but most of that is due to having to do all these papers and posts for college. I just think that some of the newer users can get confused and discouraged as is not as simple as here. As have said before, we get used to the way some of these operations are performed, then take it for granted that others have no problem either! Am strange in that aspect as no matter how far I go with learning things, I never seem to forget that first time it was difficult! I love taking advantage of that fact to help others! Anyway to conclude this, I am also very grateful OZ is there, I enjoy the valuable information there and the most beautiful looks a site can have! I also hope that it never ends either!!! Is a total asset to this site and the world of computing!!!!
