Rave: working with crunchbang linux #!, I have made my a45 toshiba satellite work again. i experimented of course with many desktops but ultimately decided that it was kind of silly to force this system to use processing for drawing squares and I kind of only use terminal anyways so openbox is officially super awesome

Rave: to whomever provided me with another peer and the original peer on my torrent download of 2.2 Ultimate. The further I go back with these I get an almost childlike joy upon recieving as they are so (emphatic mess with an ing) cool. Seriously..2.2 should be updated and rereleased. I wish I could do it. It is..dare I say..cooler than 2.8 and even ..gasp..3.5

I bury myself in electronics and code yet my humanity surfaces hideously. Not quite as hideous as an actual Surface I might buy mind you, but hideous none the less.

Having tried Win 8 today this is how i feel

windows 8 is basically 6 mobile OS. Widgeted..to...death

i spent soooo much time trying to make an external install work on this pc for windows....I can do it...in fact..windows actually moves to seperate pc..easily..but..I had another PC for Windows and it works much better with EXT4 and then I had drives. Plus the Barracuda Seagate problem is actually fixable if it is not being recognised but i don't know if it is worth it. Clickclickclick is inevatable..because it is crap

Still..I wish it wasn't so obvious. i would have been excited about windows 8..and then the Surface came out..and really that just upsets me in more ways than you could ever imagine

there have been rapid advancements in so many ways for linux recently.. we shall see

i honestly am not trying to bash windows..i see microsoft as seperate companies, there was xp microsoft and after xp microsoft..these are seperate to me as they basically restructured

i don't really care what they do as long as they advance..i dont see the surface with its specs and its price as advancement..i see it as trying to move the tablet market and i hope they fail..
