Every time I start windows it wants to install updates. Once it finishes it wants to be rebooted. Since I didn't turn the computer on just to reboot it I reboot into Ultimate Edition and that's the end of the windows experience 95% of the time.
 click next to continue
Trying to create a new folder somewhere that requires admin. powers it says you have to be admin. you click it to allow it and nothing appears to happen, do it a couple more times still no new folder appears. Get frustrated and browse elsewhere, come back to that folder to find 3 new folders :?:
Stupid windows.
 click next to continue
Insert a program disc to install the program. You have to be admin. to install this. Click Ok, it closes without installing. Browse to the cd/dvd drive right click on the installer and select run as admin. it installs.
Again stupid windows.
 click next to continue
reboot

Push power button, nothing appears to be happening, then some flashes, and then amazing 10 minutes later I can actually see the desktop but can't use the computer yet until all the icons load on the desktop. Only to see notifications that there are updates ready to install, from 3 different programs besides windows! And they all require a restart as well!!

If you want to end your windoze experience, you select the "start" button. kinda counter intuitive.

Fresh install of windoze starts off fast enough, but no matter if you download the internet or simply check E-mails and browse, in about three months that thing bog down to a snail's pace for no apparent reason at all. scandisk, defrag, diskcleanup later it speedds up again. another three months later, it slows down again. tinker with the registry, ( always back up your data, thanks microshot for teaching me a very valuable lesson) and viola!!... huh, wait.. I didn't install anything these last three months, WTH is with all these entries??

I find win7 to be stable enough...my own version. Even my nlight version of xp...Three years of no trouble except for when I used IE on accident, and got a bug.

Most of what was described here can be avoided. The problem Isn't the os (least with me). Its the idea, or the entity behind the M$ corporation. Tho a lot of people criticize old Bill including my self...until I did a little research. Old Bill is one of the riches men in the world, but yet he actually gives a lot. Whether it be to the right organization or not is an opinion...but he still gives a lot. I can't say that about most of our upper class that I have researched. Mind you I said upper class...not the elite.

Just being the devil's advocate....
